Still my baby: Day 57/365

Sometimes I forget just how much of a baby my little guy still is. But, then I catch him with his paci in his mouth and I see a certain expression he made as a tiny baby and I remember he is still my sweet little baby, just in a bigger body than last year.

Blocks: Day 56/365

My son was so happy when my daughter brought out her foam blocks for him to play with. He loved to squeeze them and stuff them back in the bag. Hopefully, that kind cleaning up will continue as he gets older.

Outside time: Day 55/365

We took advantage of some lovely 60 degree weather and sat in the front yard so my daughter could draw on the sidewalk. She was happy as a clam.

First hair cut: Day 54/365

Sadly, the time had arrived that my son needed a hair cut. I protested and held off as long as I could because his little curls were so sweet, but they were starting to get rough looking and I admitted it was time. He didn't take too kindly to being strapped in a chair with a stranger holding a pair of scissors near his head. He kept trying to get away from her as hard as he could.

Puppy dog face: Day 53/365

My terrier can give the best pitiful puppy dog face. Melts me. Every. Single. Time.

He found a cuddle buddy: Day 52/365

My son isn't big on cuddling but he snuggled up next to my daughter's favorite stuffed zebra for a good 5 minutes.

I'm just helping: Day 51/365

Even though my son needs absolutely no help with his walking toys, my daughter decided that she must help him anyway.

Busted: Day 50/365

My son and daughter were playing in her princess tent and I was trying to sneak some pictures of the sweet moment. My daughter just happened to glance my way and caught me with my camera so I totally got busted. The sweet moment ended, but it was completely worth it.

Making art: Day 49/365

My daughter doesn't often ask to have a picture taken. I get it, I'm always snapping away so she usually doesn't have to ask, I just do it. But, today she asked me to take a picture of her while she "made her art" on the chalkboard so I happily agreed.

The best words I saw all day: Day 48/365

After dealing with 3 sick members in my family, running errands, and doing taxes I was really too tired to be creative for a picture. So, a nice picture of my computer screen with the lovely words TAX and REFUND had to do for the day because that is probably the best news of the month for me.

Finally...some snow: Day 47/365

After the epic disappointment from our last "winter storm" I really didn't worry too much about the small chance of any white stuff in the forecast. So, I was pleasantly surprised when we got to see this in our yard. Doesn't take a lot to make southerners happy with snow. Unfortunately, 3 of the 4 family members were sick so there was no chance to play in it. But, it was so pretty see.

I guess he got bored: Day 46/365

I usually put the little man in the pack 'n play while I work out. Give him a blanket, a spoon, and a paci he is content to play for the hour I work out. I guess I worked out too long and he got bored because I found him like this after I finished, with a spoon in one hand and a blanket in the other.

13 months: Day 45/365

The little man turned 13 months old today. He is so pitifully sick in this picture, but it had to be done.

Poor doggie: Day 44/365

I had to block the dogs out of the loft while Mason ate his breakfast because he was too low to the ground in the gumbo and they would have devoured his food. I turned around to see my pitiful terrier trying to make me feel bad that she was blocked from the action.

This is what it takes for her to be happy: Day 43/365

Her giant stuffed zebra (AKA Brownie in this house), a blanket, and her chair while she watches tv. If that's all it takes for a smile, I can make it happen.

Doing what she loves: Day 42/365

Yes, blurry cell phone picture is all I got today. But, you get the idea. My girl at gymnastics. Jumping. She couldn't love it anymore if she tried.

His last bottle: Day 41/365

The bittersweet part of having a 1-year old is watching those last baby moments. Here we have the last bottle before bed.

Her reward: Day 40/365

I don't let her use my iPad much, but it is a powerful motivator that gets stuff accomplished. We promised her she could use it if she cooperated to finish her birthday pictures. She did what we asked, we did what we promised and all were happy in the house.

Just my little boy: Day 39/365

Just because he still actually likes to smile at me when I have the camera out.

Using your senses: Day 38/365

The theme of the day was using your senses. Vision and smell brought you this picture of the day.

On my mind all day:: Day 37/365

After a long night of no sleep, this place was on my mind all day long while I worked.

The only time she sits still: Day 36/365

This is about the only time she sits still for more than 25 seconds is when she is wrapped up in a game.

Finally: Day 35/365

At almost 13 months old, he finally decides he can sit up and drink his bottle instead of lying on the ground.

The big game: Day 34/365

Most of the Super Bowl happened after they went to bed. But, they were up for the opening stuff and I thought this was cute of them watching the National Anthem.

They love each other: Day 33/365

I am glad they love each other. Makes pushing this stupid cart that they love to ride in around Lowe's a little easier.

Mom, REALLY. That camera again: Day 32/365

I just imagine him thinking this when I took the picture. Over my camera and me at 12 months old. Lovely.

Rapunzel's Portrait: Day 31/365

It was late. I had no picture of the day, yet. I saw my daughter's Rapunzel doll sitting on the counter and thought the light was nice for a picture. Boom. Picture done. And the doll maker even made it look like she has catchlights for me. Sold.
