Memories: Day 118/365

I saw these at the grocery store today and had to buy them. I have so many memories from my childhood of being at my grandparents' house and eating Moon Pies on their front porch. It was always such a treat for us as kids and seeing these in a box just made me smile.

Getting ready to walk: Day 117/365

The kids and I participated in the March for Babies walk in Charlotte in honor of some special friends and their son. This was the best picture I could get before we started.

Puppy eyes: Day 116/365

My spaniel has the cutest little face and can make the best expressions. I couldn't resist a picture after she put her head on leg and gave me a sad face.

This is winding down: Day 115/365

After a really rough day with work and school, my husband said he needed to wind down before he went to sleep. His relaxation method of choice involved an old-school 1980's cartoon show on Netflix. Whatever works for him.

Mr. Sneaky: Day 114/365

My son decided he was hungry and couldn't be bothered to wait. I cut his sandwich and put it on his tray and then went back to the kitchen to get his milk. I turned around in the kitchen and saw him helping himself to his sandwich.

Bubbles: Day 113/365

This was the first time my daughter has really been able to blow bubbles properly and she was so excited to keep showing me her new skill.

Watching him learn: Day 112/365

I bought my son one of those snack traps on Sunday to carry his snacks to and from home. This was his first time using it and trying to figure out how to get to the yumminess inside.

This makes me happy: Day 111/365

I love Sundays in our house. Especially the Sundays when I do laundry. I love having clean clothes and seeing them freshly folded just makes me smile.

I guess it was funny: Day 110/365

I took Easter/Spring pictures of my children over the weekend. I was trying to make my daughter smile for me and I guess I must have said something pretty funny.

Party hard on a Friday night: Day 109/365

My husband was going to Chicago for a business trip and knew he would miss a test for school, so he asked for permission to take the test when he returned. The professor agreed to let him take it as soon as he returned, which meant 8:00 on Friday night. So this is how we spent our Friday night. We party hard, I tell you.

Under the table: Day 108/365

My son loves playing underneath the kitchen table and chairs. I guess it makes a neat little fort that only he is small enough to fit it.

His hiding spot: Day 107/365

My son loves to hide things. And his favorite hiding spot is the drawer underneath the stove. Anytime something is missing, this is usually where we look first.

Chalk hands: Day 106/365

My daughter was drawing masterpieces on the driveway with chalk, but took a break to show me her "beautiful chalk hands."

So sweet: Day 105/365

I realized after the fact that I had a similar picture to this one last week, but it was so sweet that my daughter was loving on her brother that I couldn't resist another one.

15 months: Day 104/365

Poor little brother: Day 103/365

Poor little guy was being taunted by his sister because she can play outside by herself and he can't.

But, I don't want to touch the grass: Day 102/365

My son was none too pleased when I put him down on the grass. He wouldn't put both legs down on the ground at the same time and kept whining until I finally picked him up.

The doctor is in: Day 101/365

I couldn't do anything but laugh and grab my phone when I saw this happening.

Bum dog: Day 100/365

My terrier really is a lazy dog. Her favorite activity involves lounging, either on our couch or on our bed. She doesn't really like being disturbed when she's lounging and this is the face you get when you dare bother her.

Free scoop day: Day 99/365

Today was free scoop day at Ben and Jerry's. I knew my daughter would love to have ice cream and I was right. She was so in love with her ice cream I couldn't even really get her to look at me to take a pic. Can't blame her too much. Ice cream is good, even better when its free.

Jogging stroller and running shoes: Day 98/365

I've finally finished the Insanity workout program and was ready for a different form of exercise. So, I dusted off the jogging stroller and running shoes, loaded up my son, and off we went to soak up the beautiful NC spring morning.

Quality sibling time: Day 97/365

Its these moments that make me so glad that my children have a sibling. They are so sweet when then want to be. Even if seconds later, my son started screaming at my daughter to let him go.

If I have to take a picture, I will only look at you like this: Day 96/365

It was getting late in the day and I realized I had no picture, yet. We were eating at a charity fish fry so I asked my daughter to let me take a picture. And this is the face she gives me.

Now this is just pitiful: Day 95/365

On his 3rd day of the stomach bug, my son was really weak and exhausted. I left him sitting on the floor while I went to do something and came back in to see him folded over sleeping on the floor. I felt so bad for him and I did move him, but after I took a picture of course.

Peacefully sleeping: Day 94/365

The sick time brought extra cuddles from my son and he actually slept in my arms for the first time in many months. I truly hate when my children are sick, but I love holding and cuddling them through it.

The eye of the storm: Day 93/365

This picture was taken in between the two rounds of the stomach bug that invaded our house. My daughter was just starting to feel better and my son was just starting to get sick. So they were both a little extra cuddly and sweet so I took advantage of the chance to capture it.

Pretty flower: Day 92/365

My sweet husband bought me some "just because" flowers so I took the opportunity to use my faux-macro lens (battling sick child leaves no energy to go upstairs and get the real macro lens) and take a picture of one of the pretty flowers. They were starting to wilt and brown by the time I actually thought to take a picture, but still pretty enough for a picture.

Soaking up the sunshine: Day 91/365

While my daughter was stuck inside battling the stomach bug, my son and I took a few minutes to soak up the sun in our backyard.

Eggs are for eating, right?!: Day 90/365

As per usual, my son still wants to put everything in his mouth. Eggs from his Easter basket were no exception.

Easter egg hunting: Day 89/365

My daughter looks forward to hunting for Easter eggs all year at her grandparents' house. She was so excited it was finally time to do the big hunt and had her Gma come and help her out.
